Agave Havardiana.
Agaves are amazing exotic, drought tolerant plants. Native to Mexico and the North, Central and South of the United States, they are a very popular ornamental plants in the UK.
The Agave Havardiana is a strikingly beautiful evergreen perennial succulent. Extremely hardy down to around -20 degrees it is more tolerant of  the cold and wet than many other species.
Characterized usually by a large single rosette, but occasionally mature plants may produce offsets, of thick silver-grey, triangular broad leaves which have beautiful pronounced patterns on their surfaces. They typically have dark brown marginal spines and a sharp terminal point, so probably better to plant them away from walkways.

Great for coastal gardens, exotic gardens and city gardens alike, it's bold silhouette makes a wonderful architectural centrepiece
