The Arecastrum Romanzoffianum or Queen Palm is very graceful and elegant palm. This exotic looking palm has a large canopy of strong glossy green, lacy fronds on top of a smooth, straight grey trunk which is ringed with evenly spaced leaf scars.
It's fruits are bright orange and date-like.
Although the mature palms are hardy to around -4 degrees for short periods of time the younger palms are best grown in a container so it can be moved to a frost free place over winter.
This beautiful palm brings a truely unique and tropical touch to any home, office or garden.
