Cherry Tree. Variety 'Kordia'.

The 'Kordia' is a very popular variety of Cherry Tree, easy to grow  and a reliable producer of a good amount of fruit. Bearing fruit at an early age the cherries themselves are ready for picking around mid to late July time. 5 petaled fragrant white blossom is followed by large,  heart shaped dark red fruit with firm juicy and exceptionally sweet flesh and a delicious flavour. Unlike some other varieties this fruit has some resistant to splitting in Summer.  A compact tree with glossy  green leaves turning beautiful shades of orange-yellow in Autumn. The Variety 'Kordia' is not self fertile, meaning another cherry tree of a different variety is needed to set the fruit. Grows very well in a sunny sheltered location, great for coastal locations and hardy throughout the UK.
