Cherry Tree. Variety 'Bigarreau Napolean'.
The 'Bigarreau Napolean' is easy to grow and a reliable producer of a good amount of fruit. A late fruiter compared to other varieties but cherries are larger than the average size. Classed as a 'white' cherry as their skin is pale although can sometimes be marbled red in places. The flesh is also a light yellow colour even when fully ripe with a rich fruity flavour. The Variety 'Bigarreau Burlat' is not self fertile, meaning a partner tree is needed to set the fruit. Grows very well in a sunny sheltered location, great for coastal locations and hardy throughout the UK.
