Eucalyptus Gunni 'Azura'. Cider Gum Tree.

The Eucalyptus Gunnii 'Azura' is a relatively new variety of Eucalyptus. Slower growing than the usual variety of Cider Gum Tree it is compact in growth with a bushy habit and silvery coloured bark. Very decorative oval shaped leaves are an intense steel-blue to silver-blue colour with an exceptional fragrance known to repel insects. On mature plants from mid Summer to Autumn small fluffy white flowers appear among the leaves followed by rounded olive green fruit. Perfect for a single specimen plant or used for screening reaching between 3-4meters when mature . This striking bush/tree is easy to grow whilst also being extremely hardy throughout the UK.

    Origin: France.

    Hardiness: -18 degrees.

    Growth: Evergreen tree with spectacular oval shaped intense steel -blue to silver-blue leaves. Exceptional fragrance which repels insects. Pretty white flowers appear from mid Summer to Autumn. Easy to grow. Needs little maintenance, only a light pruning.  

    Sun: Full sun/partial shade.

    Exposure: Sheltered.

    Soil: Fertile, well drained. 

    Moisture: Water regulary through the growing season. Less in winter.

    Feeding: General purpose plant feed each month in the growing season.
