Fargesia Robusta 'Campbell'. Bamboo.

Fargesia Robusta 'Campbell' is a very striking bamboo hardy down to -20 degrees and a very well behaved non-evasive clump forming variety which keeps its dense foliage even during harsh winters. The straight canes are deep green in colour contrasting strikingly against their white sheaths. New shoots appear in Springtime. The foliage is slender and elegant a glossy bright green on the upper surface with a dull  silvery-grey beneath. Fast growing reaching an eventual height of around 3.5-4m they are great for providing both a visual and a sound barrier in the shape of a hedge. Alternatively they look spectacular as a single specimen plant in a smaller garden.
