The Iris Japonica has the most exquisite large flowers, pale blue petals are delicately fringed each with spots of deep purple and orange or yellow crests. In Spring and early Summer branched stems of up to 45cm tall hold between 2 and 4 of these showy flowers above glossy green lance shaped leaves, contrasting perfectly. This rhizomatous perennial never fails to bring an exotic touch to your house or garden. Perfect for your patio, conservatory or greenhouse. Can be grown outside through Spring and Summer and brought in through winter.

Hardiness: Hardy in Devon, Cornwall and some other parts of Southern UK. If planted outside in other parts of the UK mulch rhizomes for protection and fleece if necessary .
Growth: Glossy green lance shaped leaves. Exquisite large pale blue fringed flowers with crests of yellow-orange and spots of deep purple. Flowers freely from Spring to Summer. Undemanding and easy to grow. Can be grown as a houseplant.
