The Pachycereus Pringlei is a slow growing columnar variety of cacti. This cactus is spectacular and the largest Cacti in the world. Blue-green to dark green in colour, it is strongly ribbed with many grey coloured spines.Flowering when mature, this Cactus is a night flowering species. The large white flowers appear along the ribs and can reach sizes of up to 3 inches long.
Young plants are slender at the base but greatly increase in thickness when branch formation begins.
Perfect for Cacti enthusiasts. Very difficult to find for sale at this size in the UK.

Latin Name: Pachycereus Pringlei
Common Name: Mexican Giant Cactus, Mexican Giant Cardon, Elephant Cactus.
Origin: Northwest Mexico.
Hardiness: Hardy down to -4 degrees for short periods.
Growth Characteristics: Slow growing Columnar Cactus. Branching occurs. Blue/green to dark-green in colour with groups of grey spines along strong ribs. Nocturnal large white flowers when mature. Very low maintenance.
Sun: Full sun/partial shade.
Exposure: Exposed/sheltered.
Soil: Fast draining soil. Gritty. Not rich in Nitrogen.
Moisture: Water around every 14 days. Allow to dry between waterings. Keep dry in winter.
