The Phyllostachys nigra or Black Bamboo is the most striking and ornamental of all the bamboos. Tall arching canes which become black on maturity with lush green feathery leaves makes this a great addition to any garden especially a contemporary one. Hardy down to -18 degrees.
Plant in fertile, moist but well drained soil and feed with a general purpose feed between May and September.
