PLUMERIA RUBRA.
The Plumeria Rubra is often called by it's common name of Frangipani. It is a small roundish deciduous tree with the most exquisite tropical looking flowers.
Very showy fragrant 5-petaled flowers which can be up to 4" wide bloom in clusters at the end of branch tips and emerge before the leaves in springtime. Various colours are available including white, yellow, pink and red.
Matte green leathery leaves which are oval-shaped with a distinct point are spirally arranged and clustered at the tips of the thick, fleshy, knobbly brown branches.
Drought tolerant but frost tender. Perfect for growing in containers bringing a beautiful tropical look.
