SCHEFFLERA GOLD CAPELLA. Variegated Umbrella Plant.
The Schefflera Gold Capella more commonly known as a variegated Umbrella Tree is native to Taiwan and South China but in the UK is grown as a very ornamental and decorative houseplant. Usually multi-trunked it has very decorative shiny palmate leaves, dark green in colour with stunning irregular splashes of golden yellow variegation. Individual leaves are made up of between 7-16 individual leaflets radiating out in an umbrella-like fashion.
An effective plant for filtering and purifying air, it is a popular houseplant and great for providing a focal point in either office or home. Easy to care for, liking bright indirect light but it copes relatively well with lower light conditions and even withstands a certain amount of neglect.

Common Name: Umbrella Tree Gold Capella, Dwarf Umbrella Tree Gold Capella, Star Leaf.
Origin: Taiwan and South of China..
Hardiness: Protect from frost and draughts.
Growth Characteristics: Evergreen tree. Usually multi-trunked. Dark green palmate leaves variegated with irregular splashes of golden yellow. Made up of 7-16 individual leaflets. Easy to care for.
Sunlight: Bright filtered light, but can tolerate lower light levels but variegation may be lost. Air purifying plant.
Exposure: Indoor Houseplant.
Soil: Rich. Well drained soil.
Moisture: Water regularly and keep moist but do not let sit in water. Mist occasionally.
Feeding: Feed once a month through summer with a liquid feed.
