Senecio Kleinia. Canary Islands Candle Plant.
The Senecio Kleinia is a very strange and attractive succulent shrub. Looking similar to a miniature dragon tree with thick fleshy jointed branches pale green or grey-green in colour which can be flushed or striped in purple. Narrow oblong grey green leaves are clustered in dense rosettes at the end of each branch. In cultivation it usually only grows to around 4-5ft. Easy to grow it makes a very unique and pretty houseplant in the UK. It is a winter grower and Summer deciduous.

Growth: Succulent shrub.Thick and fleshy jointed branches. Long narrow grey green leaves at the apex of the trunk only. Clusters of small fragrant, white flowers followed by showy white seeds that cover the tips of the branches. Branches after flowering. Winter growing. Summer deciduous.

Exposure: Sheltered.
Soil: Rich. Well drainedMoisture: Water sparingly March-Oct. Let dry before re-watering.
