Serenoa Repens. Saw Palmetto.
The Serenoa Repens is a small but very attractive shrubby palm.  Stiff fan shaped leaves are green or bluish-green and made up of around 18-20 leaflets.

The Saw Palmetto is typically a multi-trunk clustering palm with a trunk which grows along the ground (decumbent) although it can ocassionally develop an erect or arching trunk. Be mindful where to plant as the petioles are armed with spines, but looks great planted beneath other taller palms and plants. Very slow growing but cold hardy to around -10 it also copes well with arid and salty conditions when established.
This is a beautiful palm which will add plenty of drama to your garden. Can be grown in containers too. One for the collectors.
