The Strelitzia Augusta brings an amazing tropical touch to your house or garden. Huge exotic paddle-like shaped leaves, green/grey in colour and arranged like a fan at the top of the stems give an instant impact and a sense of the jungle.
Large eye-catching bird-like white flowers appear from purple bracts when the plant is mature enough. Keeping this variety root bound will promote flowering and restrict it's height, so great for conservatories and greenhouses. Fast growing and easy to grow, but best kept sheltered from frost and strong winds to avoid the leaves shredding.
