Strelitzia Augusta Variegated. Variegated Large Bird of Paradise Plants.

A Strelitzia Augusta with varigation is extremely rare to find for sale. Huge exotic paddle-like shaped leaves are green/grey in colour with whitish-yellow stripes of vareigation. Arranged like a fan at the top of the stems give an instant impact and a sense of the jungle bringing an amazing tropical touch to your garden..

Large eye-catching bird-like white flowers appear from purple bracts when the plant is mature enough. Keeping this variety root bound will promote flowering and restrict it's height, so great for conservatories and greenhouses. Fast growing and easy to grow, but best kept sheltered from frost and strong winds to avoid the leaves shredding.
