These impressive pom pom topiary trees are fashioned from the yew hybrid Taxus x Media Hillii. Fairly vigorous in growth, lending itself perfectly for fashioning and pruning into decorative topiary trees. Evergreen, it's dense needle-like leaflets are a deep glossy green in colour bringing interest to the garden all year round. Each tree is totally unique in it's form, cold hardy and low maintenance. A light trim once a year will keep it's elegant neat form. It is also pollution tolerant making it perfect for urban gardens.An elegant specimen tree which makes a dramatic statement bringing a classic 'architectural' feel to any garden or space. Equally suited to growing in the open ground or in planters.

Latin Name: Taxus x Media Hillii. Taxus x Media Hicksii
Common Name: Hills Yew. Yew Hicksii.
Origin: Japan.
Hardiness: Fully hardy. -20 degrees.
Growth: Evergreen hybrid yew. Cross between Taxus Baccata and Taxus Cuspidata. Relatively fast growing with dense, dark glossy green needle-like foliage. Excellent container plant. Trim once a year. Planting is best done early spring. Pollution tolerant. Easy to grow and needs little maintenance bringing all year round colour .
Sun: Full sun/partial shade.
Exposure: Exposed/Sheltered.
Soil: Tolerates most soil types if well drained.
Moisture: Water thoroughly when surface of soil is dry.
Feeding: Use a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during growing season
