The Yucca Torreyi is an evergreen, very impressive, sculptural yucca. Perfect for providing a dramatic accent to your garden design.
Cold tolerant, it is hardy to drought as well as cold when established, down to temperatures of around -15 degrees. It's leaves can be either bluish-green or yellowish-green and are are concave in shape, fleshy but rigid they do have a sharp terminal point. This particular specimen is a double trunk with one head being unusually variegated with creamy -yellow leaf margins. Arranged in an attractive symetrical rosettes, the leaves can have a small number of curly filaments near the base. Mature specimens produce a slender trunk which can branch over time. Dense, showy flowers are a creamy-white colour and appear on spikes above the foliage from June to October.
A beautiful Yucca, that is very easy to keep and needs minimal maintenance. It is quite rare to find one variegated and double trunk as this specimen is.

Native to: South New Mexico. West Texas. Chihuahuan Dessert
Hardiness: Hardy down to -15 degrees with good drainage.
Growth Characteristics: Fast growing yucca, trunk forming and branching can occur. Bluish-green or yellowish-green long fleshy but rigid foliage, concave in shape are arranged in dense rosettes. Creamy yellow margins on one head. May or maynot have a small number or curly filaments at the leaf base. Spikes of densely clustered creamy-white flowers from June to October.

Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty sandy soil.
Moisture: Water sparingly. Keep dry in winter.
